The name says it all: china competence@ruhr – the China Competence Center is the central point of contact for all companies in the Middle Ruhr Area that are planning to enter the Chinese market or – already on site – are looking for new partners or want to develop strategically there.
At the same time, Chinese investors and companies will find us to be a competent partner when it comes to economic engagement in our region.
In order to bring the business location Central Ruhr Area closer together with Germany’s most important trading partner, clear perspectives, concrete projects and reliable partnerships are required. And: a strong foundation for science and business. Together with their municipal and regional partners, the Bochum University of Applied Sciences, the Chamber of Indutry and Commerce for the Central Ruhr Area and the Herne Economic Development Agency want to use the region’s scientific and economic transfer potential and, with their Chinese cooperation partners, such as from Herne’s Chinese twin city, Luzhou, value it in mutual interest.
In this way, the China Competence Center does not only actively increase the attractiveness of the Central Ruhr Area as a business location, but also focuses on a global perspective that is essential for the Central Ruhr Area – on markets and opportunities beyond the Ruhr.
